The Real Estate industry is one of the strongest ones in Romania. But over the last 20 years, there were very few moments when I heard or read of people talking about its importance and the positive effects it brings to society and to hundreds of thousands of individuals. There are many professionals who know this, but they are “too busy” to explain, discuss and focus on how lives can and are improved through the Real Estate industry.
I think that it is time for this “malfunction” to be solved. This is why I have written a declaration which I sign, in order to clarify things. Things which were supposed to be well known to everyone, but the silence of serious people and the noise of the others have made them almost forgotten.
I would be honored if you would join me in this social and professional initiative, meant to improve not only the Real Estate industry but our society as a whole.
Romanian economy is correlated with the local Real Estate Market. Only when the Real Estate Market (and adjoining constructions market) was up, was the economy on the rise as well. Once Real Estate contracted, the Romanian economy recorded a major decline, showing its strong connection with this market segment. It is obvious that without a reviving Real Estate sector, it will be very difficult for the Romanian economy to re-establish a status of significant growth.
Real Estate sector represents one of the most important sectors of the local economy. A large number of professionals are involved. They represent a significant part of the country’s most dynamic citizens, with expertise and willingness to create, every single day. They are also Romania’s frontline when it comes to local and foreign investors. This is a market that is worth several billions of Euros. It represents thousands of individuals and it has an incredible potential for growth in the years to come.
Despite all this, the Romanian Real Estate Market is currently not appreciated nor does it have a good image in the society. Thousands of serious professionals remain “peaceful”, while a few (but “louder”) inappropriate people continue to push themselves to the forefront of social attention. We all know many examples of such people who really hurt the market, communicating the wrong messages for personal gain, causing major problems and, ultimately, blocking the road to recovery.
This has to stop. With the exception of these particular “people with wrong intentions”, the Romanian Real Estate sector includes an impressive number of serious, hard working professionals; people who try to be well informed and build a career through hard work and dedication. They think, plan and search for solutions, try to respect themselves and their clients, either property owners or investors.
There are a multitude of professional activities that these individuals are involved in and where you can identify them (alphabetical order): Real Estate consultants, brokers and their colleagues with administrative tasks, lawyers, architects, engineers, accountants, auditors, marketers, contractors, builders, evaluators, land register experts, bankers, consultants, European Grand’s experts, loan brokers, notaries, investors, developers, property owners etc.
I am just one of them. I consider myself a serious professional who is involved in the Romanian Real Estate sector. I have values and self-respect. I want to succeed through hard work and dedication. I am fascinated by the daily challenges and the market’s potential. I respect my clients, no matter who they are. No matter the nationality, I live here and I believe in the future of this country.
I consider that, in order for things to improve, we must start from a common point of reference. This is why, starting today, I do not want to be “silent” anymore. I want to state that I share these principles with many others. I sign this declaration because I want to be a part of the “growing number of serious professionals” that this country has. We are all part of this country’s future.
If you share the same vision, MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD by signing this declaration, adding your voice next to mine.
Getting together will be better for all of us…
I sign this declaration!![]()

We have reached a point of certain maturity within the market
by Ruxandra Cleciu, Managing Partner NEOCASA and ARAI President
I have been following the evolution of the Romanian Real Estate Market, as an active participant, as well as the President of ARAI and as Managing Partner of my own Real Estate agency, Neocasa. I can say that we have reached a point of certain maturity within the market, the Real Estate context is much more structured and the clients are much more willing to choose quality services.
Your real estate CV
by Dragos Dragoteanu, General Manager Euroest Invest
Anybody who’s respecting himself cares about his status. Real estate is a part of his life. The home address and the lifestyle he can afford through the personal home is a part of his real estate CV. The history of one’s real estate portfolio starts with the first home either rented or purchased. From that point on a difference is made. From the necessity to have a roof above the head to the multi-million euros investments in “prime locations” buildings or with yields that can allow a continuous development.
It is important for positive messages to be heard
by Adrian Sischin, Regional Director RE/MAX Romania
I support this campaign because it is important for positive messages to be heard. I have a great amount of respect for all the professionals in the Real Estate industry, whether they’re developers, builders, architects, investors, evaluators, real estate agents, financial consultants, lawyers and others that are dedicated to this industry. Real Estate is everywhere around us and we can all benefit from a Real Estate industry with a healthy growth. Nothing happens until a sale is finalized. Sales are dependent on consumers’ trust.
